Rainbows over Half Dome Ilana Jesse, September 25December 14 Tuoloumne Meadows – Yosemite NP. Direct Northwest Face of Lembert Dome (10c, 3 pitches, Trad) Can’t beat pretty much falling out of your car to the base of a climb. Some nice crack climbing with a 10c finger crack as the crux was the name of the game. Our fingers were a little tenderized from bouldering in the Buttermilks yesterday, so we called it a day after this climb. We jetted over to get backcountry permits for North Dome, ate a hard earned burger at the Tuoloumne Grill, hiked in to North Dome and set up camp just in time to catch the sunset over Half Dome, and preparing us to get an early go at Crest Jewel tomorrow before the sun makes those slabs any more slippery.
