Mastering the art of suffering is every endurance athlete’s goal. Cross training is very important for climbers at any level. Running is a great cross training sport for the arduous approaches involved to access alpine climbs and to pursue mountaineering exploits. Swimming is excellent, because it allows you to minimize weight resistance on your body. Cycling helps build up stamina and overall core and leg strength.
